Abstract

This review is related to the aerobic processes that contribute to the biodegradation of solid organic residues. The organic wastes are related to agronomic and forestry activities, such as manure, rice hull and sub-products of farming. The characteristics of composts and vermicompost obtained and their use in agronomic and forestry production are discussed. Finally, results of researchs made in our country in the biotreatment of rice hull and forestry sub-products with the aim of stabilization of the organics matter are analized. The employment of this organic manures in the seedling production or as soil improving substances for the horticultural production are reviewed.
