A key was elaborated to distinguish them, descriptions and drawings are presented. This genus is represented in our country by three native species: H. stenostachys Godr., H. flexuosum Nees ex steud. and H. euclaston Steud., also H. murinum L. subsp leporinum (Link) Arcang. is found, a cosmopolitan species is cultivated for industrial purposes and to use it as fodder: Hordeum vulgare “barley”.
